Trazarien White grows closer to finding his new home every day. On Friday, CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein reported the coveted UNC Wilmington transfer will visit Texas Tech (May 3-4), TCU (May 5-6) Mississippi State (May 9-10). The report stated White might also visit Kansas State (May 12-14).

It’s a step back toward the starting line for White, who informed On3 he was down to Baylor, Mississippi State and TCU earlier this week. However, it’s no surprise to see more teams enter the race for White’s attention.

This past season, White averaged 19.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game while shooting 49.3% from the floor and 39% from beyond the arc. White’s best performance of the season came in a double-overtime loss to Campbell when he erupted for 38 points and nine boards.

For his efforts, he was named to the All-CAA First Team. It wasn’t the first time White had reeled in all-conference honors. In the 2022-23 season, White averaged team-highs of 14.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per contest to secure a spot on the All-CAA Second Team.

In his freshman year at UNCW, White made 32 appearances and averaged 6.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per outing. In UNCW’s stunning upset win over Kentucky on Dec. 2, 2023, White tallied 27 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 9-16 from the floor.

White is listed as the No. 7 available small forward in On3’s Transfer Portal Player Rankings. At 6-foot-7, 190 pounds, White has no shortage of size to square off against talent at a Power Five level.

Trazarien White played high school basketball at Timberview High School (TX), where he was an unranked prospect in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

White entered the transfer portal on April 25. Along with his decision to answer, White released a heartfelt message to fans.

“Seahawk Nation, these past three years have been nothing short of amazing,” White said. “I just want to thank my coaches, my teammates, and the fans. Y’all have given me so much love throughout my journey here and I truly appreciate y’all and I will never forget it.

“The moments and memories we shared at UNCW will stay with me forever. We brought Trask back to life and I am grateful to have called this place home and I know whereever life takes me, I will always be a Seahawk.”
